Demonstrating our commitment to patient care of the highest quality, Progressive O&P is accredited by the American Board for Certification in Orthotics and Prosthetics (ABC). Our practitioners all hold ABC certification in their respective disciplines and these ABC-certified professionals provide all patient care.

The mission of the American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics and Pedorthics, Inc. (ABC) is to establish and promote the highest standards of organizational and clinical performance in the delivery of orthotic, prosthetic and pedorthic services. The ABC advances the competency of practitioners, promotes the quality and effectiveness of orthotic, prosthetic and pedorthic care, and maintains the integrity of the profession.

We have an On-Site Laboratory

Progressive O&P’s on-site laboratory allows our ABC-certified practitioners to supervise every aspect of the fabrication and design of our prosthetic and orthotic devices and ensures that every device Progressive O&P provides is optimized for fit and function and is made to the highest standards of quality.  The practitioner who evaluated and casted a particular patient modifies all casts for that patient; this highly personal approach to patient care is standard procedure at Progressive O&P. Our highly trained technical staff prides themselves on their top-quality craftsmanship and skill.

Progressive O&P’s Insurance Appeals Team will fight for your rights

Progressive O&P understands that not all insurance companies comprehend the magnitude of being an amputee or an orthosis wearer; many insurers seek to cut their costs by denying urgently needed prosthetic or orthotic services to their clients, especially new, “high-tech” products that make amputees’ lives better. To that end, our highly trained insurance appeals team vigorously fights all attempts by insurers to deny needed products or services to our patients.

Progressive O&P specializes in taking on these insurance giants and will be your advocate when your insurance attempts to deny you a product or service that you need. Our mission is to provide our patients with the highest quality prosthetic and orthotic devices to help restore as much of your independence as possible, not to take “no” for an answer from some insurer bent on cutting costs instead of serving their members.

Members of the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists (AAOP)

Progressive O&P’s practitioners are also members of the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists, an organization dedicated to promoting professionalism and advancing the standards of patient care through education, literature, research, advocacy and collaboration. “The Academy” is the premier scholarly organization in the orthotic and prosthetic field and regularly sponsors numerous educational courses and seminars.

Facility Member of the Amputee Coalition of America (ACA)

The Amputee Coalition of America (ACA) is a national, non-profit amputee consumer educational organization representing people who have experienced amputation or are born with limb differences. The ACA includes individual amputees, amputee education and support groups for amputees, professionals, family members and friends of amputees, amputation or limb loss related agencies, and organizations.

 

Facility Member of the American Orthotic and Prosthetic Association (AOPA)

Progressive O&P is a member of the American Orthotic and Prosthetic Association (AOPA), a trade organization dedicated to the professionalism of O&P providers in the United States. AOPA sponsors a yearly week of educational seminars and showcases products and technical demonstrations from around the country and the world.

Supporters of the National Amputation Foundation (NAF)

Since 1919, the National Amputation Foundation (NAF) has provided assistance to armed service veteran amputees. Recently, the National Amputation Foundation had broadened its mission to assist not only veterans, but civilian amputees as well. Progressive O&P is a proud supporter of the NAF since our inception ten years ago.

Supporters of the Eastern Amputee Golf Association (EAGA)

Golf is the #1 sport played by amputees around the world. Progressive O&P proudly sponsors the Eastern Amputee Golf Association's (EAGA) annual Long Island Classic amputee golf tournament, featuring some of the best amputee golfers in the country. All amputees are invited to participate, regardless of ability or experience, and the tournament serves as a great learning experience for new amputees or new amputee golfers.
